Chignin Cricri 2020 Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz
Chignin Cricri is the white wine cuvée from Jacquère grapes by Domaine Gilles Berlioz dedicated to Christine Berlioz, Gilles' companion. Its alter ego is Bibi, a red wine made from Gamay and Mondeuse grapes. Both cuvées come from new plots that were acquired last year, and the labels are designed by oenophile artist Micheal Tolmer, the wine illustrator. For Gilles and Christine, art is part of their shared project, which is why they entrust their labels to different artists each year.
This white wine from Savoie is made from 100% Jacquère grapes from old vines worked using biodynamic farming methods, with full respect for the environment: the harvest is manual, the pressing slow. Vinification and malolactic fermentation are carried out in ovoid fibreglass vats for a period of 8 months.
The Chignin CriCri 2020 from Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz is a simple, generous and luminous wine: deep straw yellow in colour, it expresses mouth-watering notes of white fruits, flowers and mineral salts on the nose, for a fresh and lively sip.
