Clos de Gamot Cahors Cuvee de Vignes Centenaires 2015 Joffreau
Clos de Gamot Cahors Cuvee de Vignes Centenaires 2015 is a red wine from Southwest France produced by Jouffreau. It is made from 100% Malbec grapes from the Clos de Gamot vineyard, composed of vines ranging from 40 to 120 years old. The oldest ones have very low yields and give wines of great intensity and quality. Plots are vinified separately in small vats and extracted by means of delicate pumping over, in order to give a harmonious structure and a great aging potential to the different blends; the aging takes place 1 year in steel tanks and 1 year in foudre and demi-muid. Clos de Gamot from Cahors expresses a beautiful ruby red color with garnet red reflections. The nose expresses hints of ripe black fruit as well as balsamic and mentholated notes; in the mouth the taste is very fresh, long and balanced.
