Clos de la Coulée De Serrant 2017 Nicolas Joly
The 2017 "Clos de la Coulée De Serrant" is a Loire Valley white wine produced by Nicolas Joly according to biodynamic farming principles. It is a great white wine made from 100% Chenin Blanc grapes from old vineyards.
The wine undergoes a slow spontaneous fermentation in used 500 liter oak tonneaux where it is aged for 6/8 months in fine lees. A complex white wine which needs some time after the opening in order to open and to be tasted at the full of its form.
Nicolas Joy's 2017 "Clos de la Coulée De Serrant" has an intense golden yellow color with elegant orange veils. The nose is intense and complex with fruity, spicy and mineral notes, with slight hints of oxidation. The sip is fresh and mineral, at the same time rich and full-bodied, very persistent.
