Clos De La Roche Grand Cru 2017 Hubert Lignier
Clos De La Roche Grand Cru 2017 is a red wine from Burgundy produced by Hubert Lignier. Le Clos de la Roche is one of the best crus from Morey-Saint-Denis. This is a wine to enjoy after about a decade of ageing. The vines for this cuvée come from two parcels: Monts Luisants and Fremières.
The terroir is rich in white chalk, clay and marl, and the vines are grown organically. These grapes are hand-picked before a rigorous selection process, followed by a natural fermentation with indigenous yeasts and a long maturation of 21-22 months.
This wine expresses a delicate ruby red colour to the eye. The nose offers a bouquet of red fruits such as strawberry and cherry, flowers, gentle spices and earthy notes. On the palate the taste is aromatic, deep and complex.
