Côte de Nuits-Villages Viola Odorata 2018 Domaine Henri Naudin Ferrand
Côte de Nuits-Villages "Viola Odorata" 2018 is a fine Burgundy wine produced using natural methods by Domaine Henri Naudin Ferrand. This cuvée is made from Pinot Noir grapes from 5 parcels located in the commune of Corgoloin, in "En Vireville", "En Fontenelle", "le Creux de Sobron", "La Montagne" and "Le Fourneau ", from very old vines ranging from 55 to 115 years old.
The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, then spontaneously fermented and aged in 33% new barrels, resting on the lees until bottling.
This Burgundy red wine has an intense and distinctive nose of fresh fruit such as tart cherries, floral hints and a spicy note of coriander for a fresh and fleshy sip, with a well-coated structure, soft tannins and moderate acidity. This is an elegant and voluptuous expression of a pinot noir from old vines, on a very fine terroir, worked with sensitivity and respect for the terroir.
