Cote Rotie La Sereine Noire 2012 Gangloff
Cote Rotie La Sereine Noire 2012 is a Rhone Valley red wine produced by Gangloff. Domaine Gangloff was created in 1984 by Mathilde and Yves Gangloff in the Rhone Valley, and comprises ten hectares of vineyards spread across the prestigious appellations of Condrieu, Côte-Rôtie and Saint-Joseph. Thanks to his experience at Delas Frères, Yves now enjoys an excellent reputation among the estates of the Rhône Valley. Also of note is the artistic touch of the label, painted by Yves' brother Gangloff. Côte-Rôtie La Serène Noire is made from old Syrah vines growing on schist and granite soils in Mollard and Côte-Rozier. The vinification is based on the extraction of Syrah then the wine is aged for 22 months in used oak barrels. The name of this wine recalls the ancient name of Syrah on the Ampuis vineyards. This bottle, as with all of Yves' wines, is characterised by silky elegance and a beautiful contrast between delicacy and structure.
