Côteaux Bourguignon L'Ambrois Rouge 2022 Domaine Jeremy Recchione
The Coteaux Bourguignon L'Ambrois Rouge 2022 is a wine that embodies the passion and dedication of Jérémy Recchione, a young and promising winemaker from Burgundy. Based in Gevrey Chambertin, Domaine Jeremy Recchione extends over several parcels in Gevrey, Saint Romain, Meursault, and Fizin, with influences reaching as far as the Rhône, near Cornas.
This wine is an extraordinary expression of the Gamay and Pinot Noir grape varieties, cultivated in the renowned parcel of Vosne-Romanée. The grapes are hand-picked, ensuring careful selection to guarantee the highest quality. The vines benefit from an exceptional terroir, characterized by limestone and clay soils that impart complexity and finesse to the wine.
The vinification of the Coteaux Bourguignon L'Ambrois Rouge 2022 is a process that greatly respects the raw material. Whole clusters of Gamay are used along with a healthy addition of destemmed Pinot Noir at the top of the vat. This approach allows the wine to develop a unique and complex structure. Human intervention is minimal, following the principles of natural viticulture that Jeremy adopted during his work experiences, first in Meursault and then as maître de chai in Gevrey. Fermentation takes place in cuve, and the wine matures for eleven months in wooden barrels, further enriching its structure and complexity.
The Coteaux Bourguignon L'Ambrois Rouge 2022 presents a bright ruby red color. On the nose, it offers an intense and complex bouquet with notes of fresh red fruits, such as cherry and raspberry, alongside hints of spices and subtle undergrowth nuances. On the palate, the wine is balanced and harmonious, with fine and well-integrated tannins. The freshness of Gamay perfectly complements the depth and elegance of Pinot Noir, offering a long and persistent finish.
Jeremy Recchione currently produces only 2,500 bottles, making each bottle of this Coteaux Bourguignon a rare and precious treasure. The wine is bottled without filtration or the addition of sulfites, preserving the purity of its terroir and the integrity of the fruit.
