Andre Clouet Coteaux Champenois Versailles Rubis
Coteaux Champenois Versailles Rubis is a fine red wine produced by Andre Clouet. Clouet owns Grands Crus vineyards in the communes of Bouzy and Ambonnay, in the heart of the Montagne de Reims, the undisputed home of Pinot Noir.
The Champagne master produces from this vine a red wine of great elegance, created to replicate the wine that was served to Louis XIV at Versailles. The Coteaux Champenois Versailles Rubis expresses a beautiful intense ruby red colour to the eye, with a bouquet composed of delicate aromas of red fruits, undergrowth, herbs, spices such as cinnamon and minerals.
Silky tannins and good softness gradually give way to round acidity and clear minerality on the palate. This is an elegant Pinot Noir reminiscent of a fine Chambolle Musigny, produced in very limited quantities.
