Crafted by renowned Jura winemaker Jean-François Ganevat, the Côtes du Jura Cuvée Orégane is a unique expression of this historic region. A blend of Chardonnay (Melon Queue Rouge) and Savagnin in equal parts, the grapes come from 100-year-old vines rooted in clay-limestone soils of La Combe. The vinification process includes whole-cluster fermentation, malolactic fermentation, and an extensive four-year aging period in 228-liter barrels with regular topping-up. Sulfur use is minimal, limited to a small dose at bottling. The result is a profound and complex wine, showcasing remarkable minerality, ripe fruit notes, delicate spices, and an elegant, persistent texture.
