Côtes de Nuits Village 2019 David Duband
Domaine David Duband's 2019 Côtes de Nuits Village is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from vineyards around 45 years old from limestone, gravel and silt soils. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.
After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.
David Duband's 2019 Bourgogne Hautes-Cotes de Nuits Louis Auguste expresses a bright ruby red colour to the eye. The nose offers aromas of raspberry, rhubarb, cereals and vegetables for a fresh sip with soft tannins.
