Côtes Catalanes Village Rouge Vieilles Vignes 2014 Magnum Domaine Gauby
Côtes Catalanes Village Rouge Vieilles Vignes 2014 is an organic red wine from Languedoc-Roussillon produced by Domaine Gauby. It is a cuvée made from several red grape varieties indigenous to the region, from old vines growing on a clay-limestone soil.
After being harvested by hand and pressed very gently, the grapes are fermented whole cluster in cement and stainless steel tanks and then aged for 15 months in large casks and cement vats plus 9 months in bottle.
This wine expresses on the nose hints of red and black fruits in jam (blackberry, blueberry, cherry), aromatic herbs (thyme), leather and spices (pepper), for a balanced sip between depth and freshness, with the aromas we perceived on the nose, intense minerality which brings freshness and balance.
