Côtes du Roussillon Villages “Muntada” 2014 Domaine Gauby
Côtes du Roussillon Villages "Muntada" 2014 is made from a larger quantity of Grenache noir and Carignan to which small portions of Mourvèdre and Syrah are added. The grapes come from very old vines of about 120 years of age growing on an area made up of calcareous marls.
The wine is aged for 30 months in used barriques and large casks and it is finally bottled without any clarification or filtration. This wine expresses a shallow ruby red color, while the nose offers floral aromas of peony and rose, cherry, notes of incense and wax.
The sip is smooth, fruity and spicy, well balanced between structure and freshness.
