Dogliani 2022 Tommaso Cappa
Tommaso Cappa's Dogliani is an authentic expression of the Piedmontese territory, now in its third vintage with the 2022 release. Produced from Dolcetto vineyards planted 40 years ago in the charming hamlet of Valdibà, at the foot of the San Fereolo chapel by Nicoletta Bocca.
This wine encapsulates the essence of a unique terroir, characterized by an altitude of about 370 meters, west exposure, and marly soil. Fermented in steel for 17 days with wild yeasts, followed by aging for a year in exhausted barrels.
With a total production of 1700 bottles, this Dogliani DOCG offers deep aromatic complexity and an elegant structure. The purity of Dolcetto grapes emerges, with almost entirely whole-cluster fermentation, without stems, capturing the authenticity of the fruit and the distinctive character of the territory.
