Dolcetto d'Alba 2017 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Flavio Roddolo. He is a pragmatic vigneron and very attached to the territory, a true Langa farmer, perhaps one of the last. Dolcetto is one of his most interesting wines, which manages to reach high levels in his hands at an excellent price. The Dolcetto D'alba 2016 by Roddolo is a wine that tells the story of the Langhe territory: made from Dolcetto grapes from 30-year-old vines on a soil composed of silt, tuff, limestone and clay, it expresses an intense nose with hints of ripe fruit, dried violets and roses, earthy notes. The taste is structured and fruity, with a softness that compensates for the presence of fine tannin. A territorial Dolcetto, able to age even for 5-6 years.

Flavio Roddolo is a wine grower from Monforte d'Alba in the Langhe region of Italy. He is deeply rooted in the land and is convinced that it is the terroir, more than anything else, that determines the character of the wine. Dolcetto is one of his most famous wines, a difficult and less profitable grape but which in his hands expresses itself at sensational levels. Then Nebbiolo, Barbera and Cabernet Sauvignon, which give life to bottles of rare authenticity and quality.
