Dolcetto d'Alba 2017 Serafino Rivella

Dolcetto d'Alba 2017 is a fine Piedmontese wine produced by Serafino Rivella. The Dolcetto grapes come from the two hectares of vineyards in Barbaresco that the winery cultivates in total, from which were produced about 10000 divided between about 8000 bottles of Barbaresco and 2000 of Dolcetto.

In 2017, however, following a bad hailstorm that destroyed the Dolcetto vineyards, it was decided not to replant it and to replace it with Barbaresco vineyards. This Dolcetto d'Alba 2017 is the last chance to taste Serafino Rivella's Dolcetto, an intense, elegant and characterful Dolcetto, different from the usual.

Deep ruby red in color, it has an elegant nose of cherry and violet and a full and balanced sip, with the right tannic component and a nice spicy finish.
