Description

Dolcetto d'Alba "La Costa" 2021 Piero Benevelli

Dolcetto d'Alba "La Costa" 2021 comes from grapes grown in the commune of Monforte d'Alba. Dolcetto grapes are grown by Piero Benevelli according to organic farming principles, with very low yields per hectare to ensure maximum quality concentration.

After careful selection of the grapes, the Dolcetto d'Alba is fermented in steel in contact with the skins for 7-10 days. This is followed by aging in steel on the noble lees for 6 months. Piero Benevelli's goal is to fully preserve the freshness of the fruit and the expressiveness of the native Dolcetto grape variety.

Dolcetto d'Alba "La Costa" 2021 has a vibrant ruby red color with violet hues. The nose enhances notes of cherry, plum and blackberry, accompanied by floral sensations of violet. In the mouth it is fresh, agile, with crisp fruit and a distinct minerality given by La Costa's limestone terroir. Soft tannic notes and balanced acidity make this wine pleasantly drinkable. Excellent as an aperitif and to accompany cured meats, pizza, pasta, risotto and fresh cheeses.
