El Hem Roussette de Savoie 2021 Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz
El Hem Roussette de Savoie 2021 is a natural white wine from Savoie produced using biodynamic methods by Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz. It is made from 100% Altesse grapes, an indigenous Savoy grape variety also called Roussette due to the pinkish colouring of the berries as they ripen.
The vines are about 16 years old and grow on a clay-limestone terroir. This wine is aged in fibreglass eggs for a duration of 8 months.
The Altesse or Roussette gives life to wines with a fascinating aromatic profile, as in the case of this "El Hem", which to the eye expresses a beautiful deep straw yellow colour, while the nose offers an articulate and aromatic profile composed of fruity notes, sage and mineral salts. The palate is incredibly rich and concentrated, balanced by a nice dose of freshness, for a savoury and bitter finish.
