Etna Rosso Munjebel 2020 Cornelissen
Etna Rosso Munjebel 2020 is a fine Sicilian wine produced by Frank Cornelissen. It is made from pure Nerello Mascalese from old vines planted with free standing trees that are over 60 years old in the Chiusa Spagnolo, Monte Colla, Porcaria, Crasa and Piano Daini districts on the northern slopes of Etna.
No chemical or synthetic substances are used in the vineyard, and the same applies in the cellar, where alcoholic fermentation is carried out spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts in fibreglass tanks. It then matures for 18 months in neutral fibreglass tanks and is then bottled without filtration or the addition of sulphites.
The Cornelissen Munjebel 2020 has an intense ruby red colour. On the nose it expresses an intense and complex bouquet of small wild fruits such as blackberries, aromas of Mediterranean scrub, spices and citrus peel and mineral notes, while the taste is rich and powerful but balanced by an incredible freshness and flavour that make it a very elegant wine.
