Munjebel Rosso BB Barbarecchi 2018 Cornelissen
Munjebel Rosso BB Barbarecchi 2018 is a red wine produced using natural methods by Cornelissen. The Nerello Mascalese grapes come from the same vineyard (Cru Barbarecchi) as the most prestigious label in Cornelissen's range: Magma.
However, when the weather does not allow for perfect wines, as was the case with the 2005, 2010 and 2018 vintages, Magma is not produced and from the grapes that come exclusively from the Barbarecchi vineyard comes the Munjebel Rosso BB Barbarecchi, a red wine with remarkable elegance and personality, expressing a complex nose of red fruits and spices for a balanced, elegant and persistent sip.
The grapes come from very old vines that are over 100 years old, and the must ferments spontaneously using only indigenous yeasts with maceration on the skins for about 50 days, and then matures in neutral fibreglass tanks for 18 months, plus 18 months of refinement in the bottle.
