Munjebel Rosso CR Campo del Re 2018 Cornelissen
Munjebel Rosso CR Campo del Re 2018 is a red wine produced using natural methods by Cornelissen. It is made from 100% Nerello Mascalese grapes from very old vines, more than 70 years old growing at altitudes of about 700 m.
The vines grow in the western valley of Etna, in particular from the vineyard in the Campo Re district, located in the Randazzo district. Here the soils are very deep, so in particularly good years it is more difficult to reach the perfect degree of ripeness of the grapes. The fermentation is spontaneous in glass-resin tanks with maceration on the skins for 50 days, followed by 18 months of refinement in glass-resin tanks plus 18 months in the bottle and the wine is finally bottled without filtration or sulphites.
The Munjebel Rosso CR Campo Re 2018 is a deep and tannic wine from Etna, whose characteristics are close to Nebbiolo, also in its great predisposition to ageing through which it will be able to express itself to the best of its ability.
