Munjebel Rosso PA Porcaria 2018 Cornelissen
Etna Rosso Munjebel PA Porcaria 2018 is a fine Sicilian wine produced by Frank Cornelissen. It is made from pure Nerello Mascalese from old vines over 60 years old from the Porcaria vineyard in the Feudo di Mezzo district, at an altitude of 640 m above sea level.
At these altitudes it is very difficult to bring the grapes to full maturity, yet Cornelissen renounces the use of chemical substances in its intention to authentically express the Etna territory with total respect for the environment and the balance between man and nature. Munjebel Feudo di Mezzo has a long contact with the skins for 60 days until the malolactic fermentation is complete.
No sulphur dioxide is added, nor any kind of clarification or filtration. The Munjebel PA Porcaria shows an intense ruby red colour in the glass, while the nose expresses sweet aromas such as ripe fruit and more bitter ones such as dark chocolate or liquorice. The sip is balanced between a nice freshness and sapidity.
