Munjebel Rosso MC 2018 Cornelissen
Etna Rosso Munjebel MC Monte Colla 2018 is a red wine produced using natural methods by Cornelissen. It is made from pure Nerello Mascalese from old bush-trained vines over 70 years old from the Monte Colla vineyard, located in a steeply sloping area with vines growing at an altitude of around 750 m, perfectly exposed to the sun and wind on soils composed of clay and sand.
Following the philosophy adopted by the Belgian Frenk Cornelissen, based on total respect for nature and balance with it and the hand of man, he chooses not to use any chemical substances and minimal interventions both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Fermentation takes place spontaneously in glass-resin vats with maceration on the skins for 50 days. The wine is then aged for 18 months in glass-resin vats plus 18 months in the bottle and is bottled without filtration or sulphites.
The Munjebel MC Monte Colla 2018 shows in the glass a bouquet with floral nuances, aromas of small berries, notes of spices and mineral memories of graphite. The sip is rich and long, with dense and evolved tannins and a fresh and savoury finish.
