Fleurie Magnum 2018 Domaine Joseph Chamonard
Fleurie Magnum 2018 is a fine French wine produced by the Domaine Joseph Chamonard. It is made from 100% Gamay grapes, the most common red berried grape of Beaujolais, in Burgundy, from plants with an average age of 70 years. Fermentation is spontaneous with only indigenous yeasts, and subsequently the wine ages in wood for 60%. The wines of the Fleurie area are considered the most "feminine" of Beaujolais, characterized by a great elegance and a typical floral scent, and this "La Madone" by Chamonard is a classic example: bright ruby red in color, it expresses to the nose an intense and complex bouquet of small red, pink and purple fruits, mineral notes and toasted notes. In the mouth it is structured, soft and warm, with silky tannins and a nice persistence.
