Frappato FL Contrada Fossa di Lupo 2019 Arianna Occhipinti
The contrada Fossa di Lupo is where it all began, 18 years ago. Arianna Occhipinti began her adventure as a producer from a hectare of vineyard in this very area, and today it is one of the best known and most appreciated in the whole of Sicily.
In a context of woods and dry stone walls that give geometry to the rugged profile of the Monti Iblei, Arianna produces authentic and genuine wines that speak of her land and of herself. Frappato is a grape that the producer has always believed in and to which she dedicates this range of 'Contrada Wines', coming precisely from three different contrade. It ferments spontaneously in cement vats on its skins and matures for a few months in used oak barrels.
The 2019 Frappato FL Contrada Fossa di Lupo expresses a luminous ruby red colour to the eye; the nose offers intense fruity aromas of cherry, wild berries and pomegranate, spices and iodine notes, for a fresh and refined sip with a vibrant personality.
