Gevrey Chambertin Vielles Vignes 2018 is a French red wine from the Burgundy region, produced by Tortochot. The average age of the vines is high, all production steps are carried out with great care. The company philosophy is to intervene as little as possible but to preserve the grapes to reach perfect ripeness. Fermentation is activated by indigenous yeasts followed by aging which takes place in new partial wood. With a great structure and softness, the nose plays on a strong hint of dark fruit which is also found in the mouth. Balanced and intriguing with a beautiful length that ends with a savory finish.

Domaine Tortochot is located in Gevrey-Chambertin, in the heart of the Côte de Nuits. Brigitte and Chantal Tortochot guide the reins of the company with the utmost respect for the traditions of Burgundy: low yields, organic farming is practised in the vineyard where the only fertilisers given to the soil are biodynamic preparations. Harvesting is manual, fermentation is spontaneous and the wines are aged in 100% new barriques for the Grands Crus, 50% for the Premier Cru and 25% for the Villages for a period of 15 to 18 months. The wines of the domaine Tortochot are products of the highest quality from prestigious terroirs.
