FERRARI
Ferrari, eccellenza delle bollicine italiane nel mondo
Ferrari is one of the most important companies in the panorama of Italian sparkling wine, a symbol of excellence of Trentino bubbles in the world. Its origins date back to 1902 thanks to Giulio Ferrari's desire to produce bubbles equal to the greatest Champagnes, in a search for the highest quality of products that accompanied him throughout his life and was then passed on to his heirs. For this reason Ferrari is considered as a pioneer of the Italian Metodo Classico, which contributed to the spreading of Chardonnay in Italy. In 1952 the management was passed to Bruno Lumelli who brought the success of the winery to cross the national borders.
Today the winery, still in the hands of Lunelli family, continues to symbolize the excellence of Italian bubbles all over the world. The range of Trento DOC Ferrari sparkling wines, characterized by a unique and inimitable style, is produced with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes which come in part from the winery's vineyards and from a wide network of selected winemakers, covering about 800 hectares of vineyards located in the hills of Trentino. The attention paid to get the highest quality of grapes leads every year to discard about 20% of them during harvesting. Vineyards are cultivated according to organic farming principles in respect of the territory, a concept to which the winery is strongly bound, and the same respect is asked to all the families of grape growers, to whom is banned the use of chemical substances. In the winery there are long aging periods ranging from two to ten years according to the type to be obtained.
Today are produced about 15 different labels, divided in 5 high level collections which reflect the company's style based on elegance and quality, which together with a great territoriality identify one of the most appreciated and requested Italian classic method bubbles in the world.
