Glen Deveron Highland Single Malt 5 Years Old is a young yet characterful whisky produced at the Macduff Distillery, located near Banff. Founded in 1962, the distillery was acquired in 1972 by William Lawson, a company known for its Blended Whisky, in order to secure a direct supply of malt whisky. At that time, Macduff began small-scale production of Single Malt, giving birth to Glen Deveron, named after the nearby Deveron River from which the distillery sources its water.
