"Grappa di Barolo" Distilleria Montanaro
The "Grappa di Barolo" from Montanaro Distillery is crafted from carefully selected pomace of pure Nebbiolo grapes from Barolo. Aged in oak barrels, it distinguishes itself with soft, velvety aroma and taste, displaying a distinctive light straw color. The distillation process, using small copper pot stills and double-column demethylation, follows the classic Montanaro method.
After approximately 24 months of aging in wooden barrels, the grappa presents a light straw yellow color, an intense yet delicate aromatic profile with layered spicy notes, a soft structure, and a persistent, velvety, and balanced flavor. Harmonious woody undertones elegantly blend with the floral characteristics of the original grape.
