Guado al Tasso 2005 Antinori
Guado al Tasso is a fine wine from Bolgheri of the estate of the same name owned by the Marquis Antinori. It is one of the most famous and appreciated Italian Supertuscans in the world, obtained from the Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc. The grapes are carefully selected from the most mature bunches, then fermented for a short period in steel barrels, and then aged in wood for a year after which the best wines are put together to rest for another 6 months in small barrels before bottling. The Bolgheri Rosso Superiore Tenuta Guado al Tasso wine shows a fascinating deep ruby red, with an intense and complex bouquet of ripe red fruit, spicy and woody hints, notes of chocolate and leather. The sip is harmonious and balanced, very persistent and extremely elegant.
