Hermitage 2022 Dard et Ribo
The Hermitage Rouge is born from Syrah grapes grown in the estate vineyards located in Tain l'Hermitage, in the heart of the Northern Rhône wine region. These vineyards are cultivated using biodynamic methods, respecting the natural balance of the surrounding ecosystem and ensuring the maximum expression of the terroir.
In the vineyard, the harvest is carried out manually with extreme care to select the best grapes. In the cellar, the bunches are destemmed 90%, while the remaining part undergoes spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, without the addition of selected yeasts. Skin maceration lasts about 20 days to extract tannins and aromas to the fullest. Aging takes place in 500-liter barrels for over a year and a half, allowing the wine to develop complexity and structure.
The Hermitage Rouge presents itself with a compact ruby red color and reveals smoky and orange peel aromas on the nose, enriched by fresh fruity notes. The palate is creamy and deep, with a mineral finish that adds elegance and balance to the wine. It is a wine that embodies the authenticity of the terroir and the commitment of the estate to producing high-quality wines that fully express the unique character and richness of the region's winemaking heritage.
