Iris du Loire 2022 is a masterpiece of elegance and complexity crafted by Jean Pierre Robinot, a visionary master of natural wines. Made from Chenin Blanc grapes sourced from over 90-year-old vines in the Loire, this white wine deeply reflects the character of its origin. The vines, cultivated biodynamically, yield extremely low quantities but exceptional quality fruit.
With uncompromising winemaking, Iris du Loire undergoes spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel with a brief maceration on the skins, followed by 24 months of aging in old barrels. During this time, the wine evolves on the lees, developing rare complexity and impeccable balance.
In the glass, it shines with a brilliant straw-yellow hue and golden highlights. The nose offers a dynamic bouquet, blending dried fruit, candied citrus, balsamic, and mineral notes with subtle spicy hints.
