Langhe Nebbiolo Vigna Rionda Ester Canale 2018 Giovanni Rosso
The Langhe Nebbiolo Vigna Rionda Ester Canale 2018 is a Piedmontese red wine produced by Giovanni Rosso, a Nebbiolo of great intensity and concentration. The grapes for this bottle come from the youngest vineyards of the renowned Serralunga d'Alba Vigna Rionda Cru, a small treasure owned by the Rosso family.
Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks for about 23 days, with daily pumping over. The wine then matures in 25 hl Fontainebleau oak barrels for about 12 months. The Nebbiolo Ester Canale- Giovanni Rosso Vigna Rionda 2018 is a great interpretation of Nebbiolo wine from a cru of particular value, reflecting all the best expressive characteristics of this Langhe excellence.
To the eye it shows a ruby red colour with garnet reflections, while the nose expresses an intense bouquet of small berries, rose petals and sweet spices. On the palate the wine is full and soft, elegant at the same time, and offers aromas of fruit, silky tannins and a slightly savoury finish with a balsamic hint.
