Langhe Nebbiolo 2017 Giuseppe Rinaldi
Langhe Nebbiolo 2017 is one of the typical Piedmontese wines produced by the Rinaldi winery now run by the daughters of Giuseppe, known as citrico, Carlotta and Marta Rinaldi. Cantina Giuseppe Rinaldi owns just over 6 hectares of vineyards at least 20 years old, 3.8 of which are planted with Nebbiolo, between the hills of Barolo and Novello.
Giuseppe Rinaldi's Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is aged for 18 months in large Slavonian oak barrels. The vinification process takes place with indigenous yeasts at spontaneous temperatures and rational use of sulphur dioxide. The grapes come from the estate's finest vineyards. It is a classy wine, with a tannic structure, fine and subtle on the palate, with great ageing potential.
It is ruby red in colour, with a bouquet of floral notes of roses and violets, including dried ones, and fruity notes, especially wild strawberries, raspberries and cherry jam. To complete the olfactory scents, light spices of cloves, black pepper and nutmeg. It is very pleasant on the palate, with pleasant tannins and good persistence, certainly ideal with braised or stewed meats.
