Langhe Nebbiolo 2020 Giovanni Rosso
Langhe Nebbiolo 2019 is a red wine that reflects the entire production philosophy of its producer Giovanni Rosso, namely to produce wine that is 'the perfect copy of its terroir'. The historic winery run by Giovanni's son Davide is located in Serralunga d'Alba, in the heart of the Langhe, covers about 10 hectares under vine and owns the cru Cerretta, La Serra, Broglio, Mariame, Sorano, Costa Bella, Lirano and Damiano.
Nebbiolo is the prince of Piedmontese wines and this label faithfully expresses all its characteristics: the grapes for the production of this Nebbiolo Langhe 2020 come from the area of Roddino and Serralunga d'Alba. Fermentation takes place spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, with maceration on the skins for a fortnight, and ageing takes place in large oak barrels for several months before bottling.
Giovanni Rosso's Langhe Nabbiolo 2020 possesses all the typical characteristics of Nebbiolo from the Langhe area, with a distinctly fruity and floral profile. It shows a ruby red colour with light garnet reflections. The nose opens on floral notes of violets, aromas of small berries, cherries, with light toasted and spicy notes, for a medium-bodied sip, with delicate tannins and a fresh finish. Giovanni Rosso's Nebbiolo Langhe is very dynamic in pairing, especially with typical Piedmontese first courses, cold cuts and meats.
