Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 Serafino Rivella
Langhe Nebbiolo 2022 by Serafino Rivella is a red wine from the Langhe area in Piedmont, in northwestern Italy. The vineyard is located in the municipality of Barbaresco and the grapes used are Nebbiolo, an indigenous grape variety typical of this region.
The vineyard's altitude, around 300-350 meters above sea level, and southwest exposure ensure a warm and cool climate, ideal for growing vines. The vines have an average age of 35-40 years.
Vinification takes place with submerged cap maceration for about 15 days, in contact with the skins. This is followed by aging in Slavonian oak barrels for 18 months and subsequent bottle aging for at least 6 months.
The wine has a beautiful intense ruby red color with garnet highlights. The aromas are reminiscent of small red fruits, such as raspberry and currant, combined with spicy notes of clove, cinnamon and licorice. Elegant and complex on the palate, with well-integrated silky tannins and a pleasant freshness. Fruity notes combine with hints of dog rose, violet and wet earth. Persistent finish with hints of black pepper and licorice.
A wine with excellent balances, representative of the territory from which it comes. Pair with typical Piedmontese dishes such as braised meats, agnolotti al plin and aged cheeses.
