Langhe Nebbiolo "Ne Bis In Idem" 2020 Luigi Vico
And if of his Dolcetto he wants to underline the fact that, as opposed to what the name may suggest, it is a dry wine by stating "let's talk about the sweet later", on the label of his Nebbiolo "Ne Bis in Idem", Luigi Vico plays on the fact that Nebbiolo grape, here in its ideal habitat, can give life to two different wines (Nebbiolo and Barolo), which however "are not the same thing". The concept is also underlined by the image of the label, which reproduces a disheveled woman reflected in the lake but...her reflection is not the same!
A wine that praises the prince of the Langhe, the Nebbiolo, which ferments and macerates for about 15 days in stainless steel containers, followed by malolactic fermentation in November. The aging takes place in French oak barrels of 10 Hl for 50%, 50% in tonneaux of 500 L. for about 8 months. It expresses a ruby red color while the nose offers the characteristic scents of violets and red fruits, for a fresh but balanced sip.
