Langhe Nebbiolo Sorì Tildin San Lorenzo 2004 Gaja
An elegant Nebbiolo produced with grapes from the "Sorì Tildin" vineyard in Barbaresco, a vineyard that takes its name from the dialect term "Sorì", which in Piedmontese means the top of a hill facing south, and "Tildin", the nickname given to Clotilde Rey, Angelo Gaja's grandmother. A wine of great elegance and finesse, with an intense purple-red colour, it presents itself to the nose with a fine and complex bouquet, with fruity aromas of blackberry and wild berries, red fruit jam and hints of coffee, liquorice, spices and dried fruit. It has a velvety, warm and soft taste, with fine and elegant tannins that give it nobility and great structure. It is a persistent wine that goes perfectly with grilled red meats, game, dishes with the famous White Truffle of Alba and mature cheeses.
