Description

Le Jeau Rouge 2022 Gaël Delrieu-Ducleux

Le Jeau Rouge 2022 by Gaël Delrieu-Ducleux is a pure expression of the Loire Valley, crafted with an artisanal and eco-friendly approach. It comes from two lieux-dits: “Le Jeau,” facing west, and “Saint-Martin,” a gravelly and clay-rich terroir that lends depth and structure to the wine.

Made from old-vine grolleau and cabernet franc cultivated through organic farming, this red wine follows a natural vinification process with a short fermentation (5 days) using only indigenous yeasts. After direct pressing, it is bottled without fining or filtration, with minimal sulfur additions, preserving its raw authenticity.

In the glass, it displays a bright ruby hue. The nose is delicate and floral, with notes of red berries, hay, peony, and a subtle hint of pepper. On the palate, it is lively and crisp, with soft tannins and a well-balanced, fresh profile.

Ideal with spiced dishes, meat-based pasta, and earthy cuisine, this is a light yet complex wine with an airy, elegant character.
