Chardonnay "Le Mont" 2020 Domaine Alexandre Jouveaux

The 2020 Chardonnay Le Mont is a fresh and mineral white Burgundy wine from Domaine Alexandre Jouveaux. It is made from Chardonnay grapes from old vines from a small parcel of just 0.2 hectares in the Maconnais, 'Le Mont'.

The grapes are harvested in small crates and then gently pressed. Fermentation is carried out naturally in foudre where the grapes age for a year followed by another year of ageing in tonneaux before bottling by gravity.

Alexandre Jouveaux's 'Le Mont' Chardonnay 2020 captivates with its freshness and pleasantness. It shows a luminous straw yellow colour in the glass, while the nose expresses floral notes of hawthorn, fruity notes of pears, apples and citrus fruits. The sip is rich, elegant, with good acidity and persistence. It closes with pleasant fruity notes.
