Les Fripons Chignin Bergeron Roussanne Magnum 2021 Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz
'The rascals' can be read on the label of this Savoie white wine from Domaine Partagé Gilles Berlioz: a bottle dedicated to the male souls who collaborate in this Domaine. Gilles and Christine have described themselves as 'Domaine Partagé' and it is clear from this that the concept of sharing ideas and experiences with other winemakers, with people who are willing to contribute and with nature itself, in a union of souls that gives energy to the project, is fundamental to them.
The wine 'Les Fripons Chignin Bergeron Roussanne Magnum 2021' is part of Gilles Berlioz's range of white wines produced in limited quantities and sought after all over the world. It is made from 100% Roussanne grapes from vines around 30 years old, fermented spontaneously and matured for 8 months in fibreglass eggs, produced in limited quantities (around 5000 bottles).
This wine is a perfect combination of the warmth of the vines of the South of France and the freshness of the Savoy altitude, endowed with an excellent balance of taste, enhanced by great tension and minerality. Its restrained power and spicy length make it the ideal companion for pairing with fish, even seasoned or grilled white meats.
Being in the circle of 'super-demand' wines, it is also positioning itself as an 'investment' wine because with the passage of time the evolution in the glass is excellent and prices go up.
