Maranges "La Rue des Pierres" 2021 Domaine Elodie Roy
Domaine Elodie Roy is located in Cheilly-lès-Maranges, in the Côte de Beaune in Burgundy. After 11 years working in Vosne-Romanée at Domaine Anne Gros, Elodie decided to take over the family vineyard planted by her grandfather and father.
A few years later, she created her own winery by exploiting 10 hectares in different appellations, with the first vintage released in 2018. He puts into practice a sustainable type of work, respectful of the soil and the environment, resulting in authentic, high-quality wines, as is the case with this Maranges 'La Rue des Pierres'. The 100% Pinot Noir grapes come from 0.96 hectares of vines planted in 1973 by his grandfather.
It is matured for 12 months in 30% new barrels, plus an additional 1 month in vats. This label is under the AOC Maranges, which is the last appellation still in Côte de Beaune before arriving in Côte Chalonnaise. The Maranges "La rue de Pierre 2018" from Domaine Elodie Roy is a red Burgundy wine of great elegance: deep ruby red in colour, it expresses fruity, floral and spicy scents on the nose, for a mouth-watering and refined sip with a mineral note.
