Marsannay 2019 Domaine Philippe Livera
Marsannay 2019 is a red wine from Burgundy produced using natural methods by Domaine Philippe Livera. The Pinot Noir grapes come from the village of Marsannay, located between Fixin and Gevrey-Chambertin, which shares many terroir characteristics with its neighbours, with brown limestone and marl soils.
The vines have an average age of 50-60 years, and the wine is made using natural farming methods that aim to express the different terroirs in an authentic way. Fermentation is spontaneous, using only indigenous yeasts, while the wine is aged in old French oak barrels (20% new) for 11 to 18 months depending on the vintage.
This Côte de Nuits-Village 2019 expresses aromas of pepper, red berries, a touch of blueberry on the nose. The sip is characterised by juicy, refined and ripe tannins and a mineral note on the finish.
