Mazoyeres Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 Domaine Taupenot Merme
Mazoyeres Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 is a fine red wine from Burgundy produced by Domaine Taupenot Merme. The winery, located in Morey Saint-Denis, produces wines with a sustainable approach that includes minimal intervention and use of chemicals, with the intention of making wines that are true to their terroir.
This label is made from Pinot Noir grapes that come from 60-year-old vines in the village of Gevrey, just below the Grand Cru vineyard of Latricières. The grapes are cold macerated for 8-10 days, then alcoholic fermentation starts spontaneously with indigenous yeasts with maceration for 18-23 days in contact with the skins in temperature-controlled steel tanks.
The wine then matures for 15-18 months in 40% new oak barrels. The Mazoyeres Chambertin Grand Cru 2019 from Domaine Taupenot Mermecon has a beautiful intense ruby red colour to the eye, while the nose expresses a bouquet of mineral notes, fruity aromas, floral and earthy notes. The sip is medium-bodied with good freshness and persistence.
