Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbe 2019 David Duband
Domaine David Duband's Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbe 2019 is made from 100% Pinot Noir grapes from approximately 50-year-old east-facing 1er Cru vineyards from soils composed of batonian limestone. The grapes are harvested strictly by hand, selected and vinified with 80% whole bunches for about 2 weeks.
After fermentation, the grapes are pressed and the wine is racked 40% into new barrels and 60% into first, second and third passage barrels. After 14 months of ageing, the wines are racked into vats, where they settle for about 3 months before being bottled without filtration or ageing.
David Duband's Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos Sorbe 2019 expresses a bright ruby red colour to the eye. The nose gives a complex bouquet where red fruits prevail, along with spicy notes of black pepper. The sip is full and structured, balanced by a nice dose of freshness and with an enveloping finish.
