Morgon Côte du Py Cuvée James 2010 Jean-Marc Burgaud
Jean-Marc Burgaud's Cuvée James is a limited-edition vinous gem crafted only in the finest vintages, showcasing exceptional richness and concentration, a rarity in Beaujolais. Sourced from selected vineyards near Croix, at the southern summit of Côte du Py, this wine reveals a harmoniously integrated bouquet of mature fruit aromas and boisé notes on the nose. On the palate, it unfolds as a rich, dense, silky, and well-structured experience, culminating in a persistent finish supported by exquisite freshness.
The Cuvée James is the result of a meticulous selection from a small parcel near Croix, in the southern part of Côte du Py. The terroir, rich in blue stone—schist, decomposed rock, iron oxide, and manganese—represents the most typical climate of the Morgon appellation. South-facing vines produce a well-structured, tannic, and intensely colored wine with aromas of black fruits such as blackberries and cherries. A remarkable aging wine, it promises to reveal its extraordinary potential after a few years of cellaring.
