Moulin a Vent 2009 Domaine Jules Desjourneys

Moulin a Vent 2009 is a red wine from Beaujolais in Burgundy, produced by Domaine Jules Desjourneys. It is made from 100% Gamay grapes from vines that come from the Moulin a Vent area. Moulin-a-Vent is probably the most prestigious of the ten crus of Beaujolais, located in the far north of the region. The wines from this area, made from the Gamay grape variety, are known to be some of the most concentrated and tannic wines produced in Beaujolais.All the processing steps are followed with the utmost care and respect for the terroir: the grapes are carefully selected in the vineyard, after which spontaneous fermentation takes place using indigenous yeasts with their own stems. After this phase, the wine is aged in barriques for 24 months. Moulin a Vent 2011 is an authentic and very territorial wine: it expresses fruity, floral and spicy scents for a structured sip with evident tannin. It will reach its maximum balance after a few years of refinement in the bottle.
