Muscadet Classic 2020 Domaine de l'Ecu
Muscadet Classic 2020 is a white wine from Loire Valley produced by Domaine de l'Ecu. The winery is a real and proper reference in the field of biodynamic wines in the Loire Valley and its Muscadet is a security for the lovers of this wine, of which this label represents the entry level. It is made from pure Melon de Bourgogne grapes, cultivated in the small village of Landreau, located near Nantes.
In the vineyard is forbidden the use of chemical substances and they use only a little bit of copper and sulfur, the same is true in the cellar where the interventions are minimal, the alcoholic fermentation is spontaneous and there is no addition of sulfur during vinification. Subsequently the wine ages in cement tanks on its lees for few months before bottling.
Muscadet Classic 2020 from Domaine de l'Ecu has a delicate pale straw yellow color in the glass, while the nose has strong mineral notes which distinguish it, together with a brackish and iodine component which is accompanied by fresh citrus and green apple notes. The taste is supported by a good crispness and sapidity balanced by a proper smoothness. A tasty and refined wine, authentic and territorial.
