Muscadet Sevre Et Maine "Gorges" 2015 Domaine de la Pépière
Muscadet Sevre et Maine Gorges 2015 is a Loire Valley white wine produced by Domaine De la Pépière. It is made from the typical grape variety of the Melon de Bourgogne region, from the cru The Gorges appellation area is located in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine. Gorges is structured on slopes or mounds around the Sèvre. The vines grow on soils that are generally quite deep, characterised by the presence of degradation clay or quartz clay. This allows them to maintain a good reserve of water even in dry summers, and with careful vinification carried out according to organic and biodynamic farming principles, this bottle of great character is born, expressing the territory in an authentic way, in line with the winery's philosophy. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully transported to the winery; the pneumatic press is filled by gravity, so the grapes are not crushed; fermentation takes place spontaneously in vitrified steel tanks, where the wine is left to age for a period of 6 months before being bottled without racking. The Muscadet Sevre et Maine Gorges 2015 has a remarkable propensity to age, in fact it is only after a few years of rest that it will be able to express itself at its best.
