Nebbiolo d'Alba Vigna Arione 2019 Giacomo Conterno
Giacomo Conterno's Nebbiolo d'Alba Arione, is made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the cru of the same name in the commune of Roddino, on vines trained by the guyot method on limestone soils 400 metres above sea level.
Vinified with the same care as the other wines from the Giacomo Conterno winery, the Nebbiolo Vigna Arione is fermented in wooden vats at a controlled temperature, followed by maceration in contact with the skins for about three weeks. Before being bottled, it is left to mature for 36 months in large casks.
Ruby red in colour with elegant garnet reflections, the Giacomo Conterno Nebbiolo Arione presents on the nose hints of small red berries, violets and undergrowth with light hints of balsamic herbs and oriental spices. On the palate it is elegant and deep, with a silky tannic texture and a long persistent minerality.
