Langhe Nebbiolo 2019 Massolino
When we think of the Langhe, we cannot think of Nebbiolo, the typical grape variety of this area, and it is precisely with Nebbiolo that the Massolino family has woven its history. The Massolino winery, which owns several crus in the best areas of Serralunga d'Alba, is one of the historic companies in this area, and its creed is to enhance and guarantee maximum expression.
Massolino's Langhe Nebbiolo is a red wine capable of long evolution, as if it were a "minor Barolo". In the glass it has a beautiful garnet red colour accompanied by notes of raspberry and violet when young, which with age approach the tertiary notes of the great Barolo wines. Although less structured than its older brother, it is a complex wine, with a full-bodied palate of great elegance and personality, and a long, lingering finish.
